Like most kids in the 80s, I started racing in my preteen & teenage years. In high-school, ended up getting into Freestyle ground and co-sponsored by factory GT. Worked at 3 different bicycle shops to pay for MY BMX passion and co-sponsored by those shops as well. Settling down in Naperville IL, took a trip to Woodward PA for more training with an old buddy Joe Hiltz. 36 years later, picking up BMX with my son in 2023 and enjoying every minute of it, and for 2024 getting sponsored by Box. Other hobbies: Chess, marathons, backgammon, movies, traveling and cooking.

Hey! I’m Tucker! I learned how to ride bikes when I was 3.5 years old. My first beginners league at Rockford BMX was when I was 4, and I was hooked! I took to the sport, the new bike and the track immediately. I never even knew what a hand brake was, but quickly learned. Since then I have been living the BMX life. I’ve made the best friends and continue to grow in this sport. My home track is Rockford BMX, where I prefer to be any day of the week. 2024 was one for the books in so many ways! I always looked up to the Kegels bike team, and in June I was asked to be on their team! I was speechless, and if you know me. That’s a big deal! It was also the year that I had my first injury, breaking my hand during Midwest Nationals. I fell during my first round on Friday night, but refused to stop. I didn’t want to let my team and myself down so I continued to race all weekend. Finally after my last race on Sunday, I agreed to go to the doctor. Sure enough, my hand was broken and I was supporting from the stands for 6 weeks. I also raised over $600 for the RFL event that is so important to my family and I. This year I was one of the top earners for our track. In September, Garret surprised me by showing me the 2nd place trophy for state finals weekend. It was ME!! My picture was on the trophy!! I continued to push myself and worked hard on not getting down on myself this year. I just did the best I could and my mom really made me work on my sportsmanship. In September, I became the owner of a new Standard, and man that was the coolest!! I took to the new bike immediately and quickly handed my old bike down to my sister. During track awards this year, I was awarded the most improved rider! Very unexpected, and absolutely the highlight of my racing year. I’m ready to get back out there, crushing new goals and making the best memories with my racing family! See ya at the track!
